I did this for years without a problem. Since I got a Swedish ice scraper I actually find it quite satisfying doing it the hard way.

I also have one of those, possibly from your recommendation, for when I'm not parked outside my house.

They are trruly phenomenal bits of kit and very theraputic to use.

MSM over the top reporting of the LA fires, over half the news on the BBC app is Live coverage of the fires. It’s been like it since it started. Earlier this week it was Carters funeral, and Al Fayed getting the wall to wall coverage … strangely no mention of the economy though.🤔
The economy is not about people dying. Spare a thought please.

Yeah - my car's been frozen each morning this week, I just fill a measuring jug of water from the hot tap and poor that on. Clears it very quickly. Sod waiting for the kettle to boil anyway, let own the potential cracking - you don't need it that hot.

Where did this obsession with boiling water come from, is it because I use a kettle, maybe?
I actually said 'a kettle full of warm water', which ironically comes from my hot tap.
I use the kettle because it is there.
As I said, been doing it for decades and never had an issue. (y)

I have found the obsession with the US fires painful. It's a story, but for us it isn't the headline or the bulk of a bulletin. Our news has become very US obsessed whilst ignoring what happens with our European neighbours.
I'm a NW coast American...I find it overkill. It's big, but it shouldn't have the news time that it is getting. Would there be the same coverage if this was happening in Kansas? No....other than the Wizard of Oz and wheat growing, Kansas isn't a big deal.
