This is Leo on the day we got him 9½ years ago, less than one year old. 85% Saluki & 15% Greyhound. Found as a stray in a field, taken home from the Rescue Centre & brought back three weeks later. The most handsome & most difficult dog we've had in 50 years of owning dogs. Had obviously been mistreated in the past, came with a broken tail & an attitude. We discovered that there are certain things you can't do with him (& all three of us got nipped in the process). If you loom over him while he's lying down, he'll try to bite you, although, otherwise, you can handle him any way you want. Apparently he's an angel at the groomers. We now know how to handle him and he's a very well behaved member of the family. He loves Whippets, Greyhounds, Lurchers & small dogs. Detests Labradors & German Shepherds & enjoys running alongside Spaniels & Cockapoos, turning them over, which is quite embarrassing & something we try to avoid. Proper couch potato. One half hour run & he's in relaxation mode for the rest of the day.
I posted back in late spring (#40), just after a re-home. She's still wary & nervous of certain movements from humans but improving slowly. Being thick coated they've enjoyed the recent cooler weather.
Although slightly bigger than those two, the older one is still small - but looking a little wolf like here maybe
We only got Milo in the summer. He needed a new home and as luck should have it my wee girl met him in the park, I chatted to the fella and within the week he was living in our house.
Really well behaved dog. We have two cats and he's no bother with them.
Meet Goose, he is the little ginger terrorist that likes to regularly bring me mice as presents. Thinks he’s a big cat, but in fairness has the best little personality and I love the little sod.
Ended up collecting another dog from the rescue (no wonder am not playing much golf!), a couple of weeks ago. 2 years old, been bred from (we believe). Shut down & scared of people, would involuntary poop if picked up. Never had a walk etc.
But the power of the pack is strong - settled quickly, learning fast & is quite fiesty. The little 'un on the right.
