I'm no expert on narcotics, but good ideas are good ideas.

Trying to remain apolitical and can only speak for Wales, but we have some policy here predicated by a need to demonstrate separation, rather than a positive outcome.

People giving negative comments on the BBC about Scotland's different tax system without having the slightest idea of how it works.

To make it simple, a Squaddie will pay less tax whilst based in Scotland whereas a Major will pay more.
Generally speaking an army has more Squaddies than Majors.

Not sure what the point is here, but the military have a 'Scottish tax' allowance so those posted to Scotland pay the same tax as those stationed in the rest of the UK.

I was desperately trying not to make this political.
The TV guest used the Squaddie comment in regard to them paying more tax when based in Scotland. [Clearly not the case]
I remember from previous posts that The Army use a system to make sure their higher earners do not pay more tax when based in Scotland
Not sure if they allow their lower earners to pay less tax though.
