Random Irritations

When going in to Asda/Morissons, etc etc...the choice seems to be the usual cheap bad quality vanilla like ice cream. Possibly a chocolate choice and maybe some other wimpy "thing". Why isn't a good reasonably decent chocolate available? Seems that if they offered something different to Ben and Jerry's (won't go into the horrible price for those) they would sell plenty. I'm not expecting an amazing chocolate ice cream, but jeez......£5+ for a tiny carton of B+J is madness.

But I'm not keen on chocolate ice cream. I think of it as kids stuff.

For me, real ice cream is made with Cornish clotted cream. This stuff is the "proper job" and a very reasonable price. Less than £2 a litre.

Can someone not invent a road making machine that scrapes off the first layer of tarmac recoats it with tar then layers it back down and finally rolls it.
Sounds simple to me, so why has this not happened?

That would be brilliant, wouldn't it?! Imagine something like that for new roads. Decide where you want a road to go and then just... drive a truck there

If you want decent ice cream then boost farm shops or ones by a sea side

Fourth floor of a premier inn and of course the lift is out of order. Never understood why 3 women need 4 suitcases between them for a three day trip and why I have to do all the carrying.

Rudeness

And especially Uber eats and Just Eat drivers

After picking up my daughter and her cousin who is staying the night we decided to give them a treat and pop to McD’s for a happy meal for them

Whilst there I saw numerous delivery drivers talk to the staff as if they were a bit 💩 on the bottom of their shoe and just barging past people who were queuing- their sense of self importance was through the roof

Although it isn’t right, they’re paid peanuts and need to through as many deliveries as possible. It doesn’t excuse nor mitigate their behaviour but they don’t have it easy.

For me basic manners should be part and parcel of any sort of customer service job so whilst they are not the highest paid and may not have it easy you can tell it was just in their nature to act like that

It's something that needs to be stopped really. The food places need to redesign the layout so you don't have to rub shoulders with these drivers. Seeing most town and city centres crawling with them is also a terrible look.

I think they get paid per delivery, not per hour. Can easily be under minimum wage on that basis so it really is about speed. The model needs to change, hopefully it will. Bloomin tough way to make a living.

None of the above excuses rudeness.

I agree with @4LEX , they need to start having a separate collection point for the delivery people but that is tricky to retrofit.
