No fireworks to be heard where we are thankfully.
High time the sale of these was banned.

I really dont understand the appeal as a grown up... if you want to see them go see a show .. its literally like setting fire to money for about 10 mins of "entertainment" for the sake of "but its new years" but now its every week some clown does fireworks for something.

surely also if we are to reduce emissions as a nation they should be the first thing to be banned...

Not sure what the emissions from fireworks is, but not a huge ammount.
The best thing to do would be to reduce the population.

Fireworks and loud shouting from our neighbours over the back. Woke all of us up at 2am.

They will all be sleeping just now, and probably very hungover, so it’s time for me to start up every ultra loud machine in the workshop with the doors and windows open.

I think first up will be symphony of CNC router complimented by table saw cutting ash (the hardest wood of all).

Possibly followed by chop saw cutting steel tubing and thicknesser dealing with walnut…

I am looking forward to this!

How about an air raid siren?

As ted danson said in his TV series Becker "if I could just kill 5 idiots a day then world would be a better place"

We are currently between 7 and 8 billion.
Figures from 2016 gave us roughly 1 billion Europe, 1 billion N&S America, 1 billion Africa and 4 billion Asia.
We are likely to be between 10 and 11 billion by 2075 to 2100.
Europe and America unchanged, but 2.5 billion Africa and 5.5 billion Asia. This will depend upon a continued DROP in birth rate per woman in Africa and Asia.
The increase in population will not be the number of children. That will not be significantly larger. It will be the number of old people.
The only way to reduce the population in the next 50 years is to kill lots of old people. It won't happen.
