Nothing. The word "full" is just being used to emphasise no allowances are applied. What is the difference between Course Handicap and Full Course Handicap?

Isn't that what post #621 is indicating? Is this right?
A player might have scored 23 points on 9 of the holes in betterball comp, but that will have used 85%.
Using 100% (or FULL CH) he might have 1 or 2 more points and thus be given an even lower Score Differential.
This might help: https://static.whsplatform.englandg...s/whs/2024-update/4bbb-infographic-060324.jpgIs this right?

A full course handicap is a pleonastic course handicap. What is the difference between Course Handicap and Full Course Handicap?
Full is superfluous in other words?A full course handicap is a pleonastic course handicap.
The presentation we received from an EG Area Rep stated that all 4BBB scores are to be returned by the ISV to the EG Database. Only those over the “42 pts criteria” will appear in the individual’s record but the “less than 42 pts” scores will be held on the individual’s record in the background. EG intend to access this data for their use. With regards to what scores will be sent to WHS for 4BBB competitions, this is essentially what IG said in their webinar yesterday:
This seems to be different to what others have reported from HandicapMaster regarding "full Course Handicaps".
- only the counting Stableford score on each hole will be sent to WHS, flagged as true/false to indicate which player scored (the flag can be set as true for both players).
The question is how those scores are sent to WHS.The presentation we received from an EG Area Rep stated that all 4BBB scores are to be returned by the ISV to the EG Database. This part of the email sent out last week by HandicapMaster amused me. The notion that last week was the first that they had heard of this and they haven’t been in discussions with the Unions about this for months.(a) Last week we received a request from the Golf Unions to change the way data is sent to the WHS servers for handicapping Four Ball competitions from 1st April.
I think they’re banking on the fact that the appalling weather will mean that no-one’s playing comps next week, this’ll give them a few days grace to sort it all out.Given the apparent confusion on here, some ISV's not being in the same book let alone the same page, Clubs being in varying states of readiness, members having between some and no knowledge of what's going on.......
Is this really ready to be rolled out on Monday?
From where I'm sitting it's not even close......
The ISVs were equally garbage when WHS was rolled out. This part of the email sent out last week by HandicapMaster amused me. The notion that last week was the first that they had heard of this and they haven’t been in discussions with the Unions about this for months.
Ultimately, players don't really need to know any of this, only be aware that changes are happening so they won't be surprised - and improved tools are coming their way for handicap lookup (e.g. IG's handicap calculator) so they should find things even easier.Given the apparent confusion on here, some ISV's not being in the same book let alone the same page, Clubs being in varying states of readiness, members having between some and no knowledge of what's going on.......

The ISVs saw what Scotland were doing (in providing a one-stop-shop to all clubs) and were concerned that their businesses would be severely impacted if successful, which could prompt England, Wales and Ireland to follow suit. That resulted in a less than satisfactory working relationship, and ultimately a blame game between the ISVs and unions. The ISVs were equally garbage when WHS was rolled out.
They certainly need to know that (for IG members) that they will have to download version 2.5 of the IG App after April 1st before they enter any scores.Ultimately, players don't really need to know any of this, only be aware that changes are happening so they won't be surprised - and improved tools are coming their way for handicap lookup (e.g. IG's handicap calculator) so they should find things even easier.

We have a 36 hole comp on Saturday 18 holes and Monday 18 holes best net combined.I think they’re banking on the fact that the appalling weather will mean that no-one’s playing comps next week, this’ll give them a few days grace to sort it all out.
Good question - no idea!We have a 36 hole comp on Saturday 18 holes and Monday 18 holes best net combined.
First board comp of the season.
Can’t belive they are going through with it but they are, given the course is so wet.
Will all handicaps change for the comp on Monday 1st or just play off old one as it’s the same comp.
