I think your overestimating my computer skills.

My thinking is with major changes to the system these things just complicate things and give us somthing to complain about.

How do people know what handicap they'll be off?

Answer: Check their index (on MyEG for example), then go and play golf.

If it hasn’t posted the results how do we know it’s updated our handicaps.

So we could play off lower or higher cap .
Just go with what the app says just dosnt seem right.

Like the Post Office scandal computers can’t be trusted.

So a 'mechanical precision' software problem. Guess someone is going to have to take your cards and a calculator. Oh! hold on, is a calculator 'mechanical precision '?

"Mechanical precision" has nothing to do with handicapping.

They put the Saturday results up but they havnt published Mondays and Saturdays has disappeared.

This is the problem with computers .
What would anyone do if they had a match today and didn’t know if they got a shot or lost one over the weekend comps ?

Competition results are irrelevant for handicapping. Scores are submitted to WHS for processing regardless of whether any competition has been closed.

Your Handicap Index is whatever WHS tells you it is (e.g. MyEG app). If you think something is wrong, for example your igMember/HowDidiDo app is showing something different than MyEG, contact your Handicap Committee and they will ensure everything is as it should be.

Machine precision (in computing) and mechanical precision (in engineering) are different things.
