It's funny .And?
Also I think we must get our news from different places. For while I have seen the Katy brand clip, thats not been made much of from what I have seen
It's funny .And?
Youd still have to be an idiot, regardless.Indeed - if the things happened in that order , which they didn’t
Of?Did you see Kirsty wark on Tele ? She's openly accused him.
Jeez man it was all over the news.
Yes, it has been ridiculously high up in the news.Jeez man it was all over the news.
It's on the BBC website. Just go and watch rather ask for a 2nd hand rehash.Yes, it has been ridiculously high up in the news.
But what did KW accuse him of?
No, I understand what you are saying, my point was that he may have had a different upbringing from the people hanging him out to dry…But from my point of view as someone born and raised in Millwall, he’s a dick… a 24ct gold plated knob. And where he is from is absolutely no excuse for his behaviour. Not knocking what you've said, but it reminded me of some stuff I read earlier today defending him and using his background as mitigation. I found it irritating and insulting that the writers obviously think that everyone from a working class background knows no better than to be an ignorant, sexist plebb in 2024.
Only if the allegations aren’t true. Not condoning any inappropriate behaviour, but are the BBC covering their backs by hanging him out to dry after allegedly covering up the disgraceful behaviour of others in the past?
I think in any workplace if you had evidence that there were 13 people who were accusing one of your employees of potential sexual misconduct, making colleagues and visitors feel extremely uncomfortable and acting in an inappropriate manner then the standard course of action would be to suspend them pending investigation. Not condoning any inappropriate behaviour, but are the BBC covering their backs by hanging him out to dry after allegedly covering up the disgraceful behaviour of others in the past?
Agree with the first part and rightly so. But, most work places don’t put you front and centre of their worldwide news provision whilst they conduct an investigation.I think in any workplace if you had evidence that there were 13 people who were accusing one of your employees of potential sexual misconduct, making colleagues and visitors feel extremely uncomfortable and acting in an inappropriate manner then the standard course of action would be to suspend them pending investigation.
I don’t think the BBC acted any differently than any other organisation would under the circumstances, not to act as they did would have been unusual.
He doesn't work for BBC news, are you suggesting they shouldnt report on people who are contracted to other parts of the org. Tbh it just sounds like any other anti BBC rant.Agree with the first part and rightly so. But, most work places don’t put you front and centre of their worldwide news provision whilst they conduct an investigation.
The allegations were brought to light by the BBC News own investigation, so it would be a bit strange, if the same organisation who investigated it, would not report on it.Agree with the first part and rightly so. If they had not mentioned it that would have come across as very strange.
"BBC News, which is editorially independent from the wider organisation, started investigating Wallace in the summer, after becoming aware of allegations. The claims we have heard are from 13 people, across five shows, from 2005 to 2022.
One of them was the broadcaster Kirsty Wark, a Celebrity MasterChef contestant in 2011, who said he told "sexualised" jokes during filming.
On Tuesday, we sent a letter to Wallace’s representatives setting out allegations we have heard."
PubesDecided spur of the moment to get up and to Bath. Decided on train instead of driving. At reading got on fast train, just, 100% full standing next to toilet dammed with people. Then a young woman pushed through from the carriage and pubes up right next to us, then again and again. My wife got hit on the trousers and shoes. We had to get off at Didcot and wait for the next. What a great start!!! A month or so ago a middle aged woman puked everywhere in the seat behind me on a packed train back from London as well!!

Something doesn't need to be illegal to be wrong.I've not really been following this very closely, but am I correct in thinking that he's been suspended for telling jokes?
Has he actually done anything illegal, has he actually assaulted anyone?
They are all allegations but several claims of inappropriate behaviour (e.g. removing his shirt when alone with a young female colleague), repeated ‘sexual’ comments and ‘groping’.I've not really been following this very closely, but am I correct in thinking that he's been suspended for telling jokes?
