Random Irritations

Posters not checking their posts properly before posting. Been a fair few recently where they have used positive terms (can, was, etc) when they should have used the negative (can't, wasn't) as their post just doesn't make sense otherwise. You have to read it a few times to get what they actually mean.

Sadly, for them, the high prices are because of poor harvests for the last couple of years. The farmers do not have enough olives to become rich, when they do have enough, the price will drop, he said optimistically.

Oh don't. I pay into premium bonds for the kids. Every month standing order into them. Can't go paperless for kids apparently

I'm tempted to bin them off and just put in my bonds then move the money to them when their older just to stop the blooming letters

Virgin Media has just started digging up the housing estate where I live to install fibre.
The estate has had fibre for a few years (Jurassic Fibre, now part of Cuckoo). I have FTTP with them - £20 a month.
Given how much Virgin charge and how poor their customer service is, chances are there will be low takeup.
So Virgin is making a mess of the place for no good reason.

This is where laws need to be passed to force companies to share equipment, even if they won't let them use the same cables at least let virgin pull their cables through existing runs rather than dig up the place again

What a waste of resources
