So am sat at daughters house for half an hour this morning with Layla Tash doing some spellings before we go into skool. Missis T opens her diary and it comes across shapes and the words for it. I said to Layla, “ how do you spell triangle”. “TRY”. Nope so I went onto mention TRi means three and spelt out Triangle. missis T says your wrong. We had a 30 second disagreement and she showed me Laylas Book.
TRAINGLE. 😳
Ave seen Laylas teacher and told her am getting the Governers involved. 😁👍 4 weeks at school and no one has said owt or noticed.

Will that be worth three points? I'll get my coat.

And don't order a round of drinks at the bar then try to swipe your Tesco Club Card.
(Just once or twice 🙄)
That is an easy one for me I use a Tesco credit card so no need for a separate Club Card plus points on every purchase.

At one time (before they reduced it so much) it used to pay for my annual RAC cover, the service for my car and the kids got all their BSM driving lessons at half price.

All of this is one of the main reasons I don't play roll-ups. I'd have to be regularly getting out a tenner and buying something pointless in the shop just to get 2 or 3 quid in coins, and who can be arsed with that?

I run a swindle and there is one guy who always tries to pay in to the swindle with a £20 note and gets told to change it at the bar. Even £10 notes are annoying when only 9 play as half the pot goes in to a fund.

Returning from a lovely cycle ride today and came across a cat in the middle of the road that had been run over. It can't have happened that long before I found it as there was fresh blood everywhere. Stopped to see if had a collar but sadly no and it was dead. Just left in the middle of the road by the driver. I carefully moved it to the verge and knocked on the nearest door where someone was home. The owner had a cat, thankfully it was home (her face distraught momentarily) and she said she'd put a post in their village WhatsApp and Facebook groups to try and locate the owner.

Irritated at the driver for not moving it at least. Terribly sad for the poor cat and the family who will be heartbroken :-(

As a follow up. Rode today and saw the cat had been removed. Knocked on the door again and it was one of their neighbours cats. She was pleased I'd checked as the owner wanted to say thank you. His name was Denim. RIP.

So many emails to “rate your delivery” it’s a joke.

I just put “ I wasn’t there “
I always give it a 3 and in the bit for “why did you give this rating” I put “the driver never sang me a song or told me a joke, he just delivered the package which is the bare minimum I expect from a delivery driver”

Funnily enough I have never had a follow up email to it.

I ran over a cat once.
5am going to work it just ran out in front of me.
I stopped about 20yds further on and walked back to it.
It never moved but as I leant over it ,it jumped up with a mighty scream and ran away.
Frightend the bloody life out of me so got its own back.
At least it was ok.👍

Royal Mail🤬
Sent a letter, first class signed for on 5th Sept. Got the tracking number etc, no issues.

Letter never arrived at destination, raised a complaint.

Royal Mail’s answer! Check the tracking as we can only see what you can see!! What’s the point of raising the complaint?
They can see were it was on a certain date on it’s journey like me, but surely they can contact the sorting office that clearly stated they’d received it, but never moved it on!

Complete waste of time.

Final paragraph from them if it has been over 10 days you can make a claim and we will investigate!🤬

I do my self assessment taxes by paper (no national insurance number). I sent last years in by signed delivery etc, never got there. Sent in another copy...it didn't get there. Finally called the tax folks to find out what is going on.....they got both of them, they just don't bother to sign for them so the tracking just sort of disappears before it gets there. Nothing to say the mail got there......arg. Still haven't done mine this year.....only another couple of weeks.....

Today was…
Score and rub with salt then back in the fridge uncovered for a few hours.
220c in the oven for 20 minutes then 180c until the meat was cooked. Do I need to keep it in at 220c for longer until the skin starts to bubble?

I tend to notice a big difference between a quality bit of meat and a cheaper supermarket one that’s been vac packed.

I do a coat of salt, leave for 20 mins. Then wipe the moisture away and repeat. Into the oven at 230 until the skin is bubbling up, then turn down until it’s cooked.

What oven do you have?
