Sky News, whilst reporting that there had been 3 stabbings (1 in a life threatening condition), with 90 arrests in 24 hrs, finished the report by saying 'overall it's been a really peaceful and enjoyable day'!!! You couldn't write this stuff, gaslighting of the highest order.

When pretty much all cars have a Bluetooth connection, even more bemusing.

It's more people messaging, on apps etc than actually using them to make calls, that's what I've noticed anyway.

Football clubs get a bill for policing.

Carnival's policing bill was between 3 and 11 million pounds depending on the news outlets I've seen today. (That's a huge spread )

That’s slightly misleading. Clubs only pay for policing immediately outside the ground. The vast bulk of the cost of policing the majority of games falls to the Force concerned.

So on that basis, which bits of the carnival should the committee pay for?
