It was mate.I hope it's clear that my irritation isn't in being woken up - it's in seeing my baby in distress and not being able to do a damn thing about it.
Mine was always in being woken up

Not heard of hard disk recorders, then? The Channel 4 streaming app. It is a heap of excrement. Every week I end up doing tech support so the wife can watch GBBO and every week we get into an argument because the app clearly DOESN'T JEFFING WORK.
And no, we can't watch it "live" on broadcast TV because it's bedtime for the daughter.

Ch 4 +1 is on Freeview as well as Sky, might be an option for you?The Channel 4 streaming app. It is a heap of excrement. Every week I end up doing tech support so the wife can watch GBBO and every week we get into an argument because the app clearly DOESN'T JEFFING WORK.

AAAAAAARGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH! I don't even like cake!
Same again tonight, maybe even worse. Definitely don't think the doctor was correct. It's almost like she's screaming in her sleep. We've looked online and read about separation anxiety - she's too young for night terrors it seems. Unfortunately while there's plenty of articles, none tell you what you're actually supposed to do about it. Like the wisdom is just 'tough luck, deal with it until it doesn't happen anymore'. I've heard her scream more in two nights than in the entire preceding 9 months. For over an hour at a time. The longer she doesn't sleep the worse it makes it. As soon as she looks like dozing off the screaming starts again.Worst night we've ever had with the little one. She just kept crying and wouldn't sleep. Took three hours to get her down, then she was only sleeping for an hour or two then crying again. Took her to the doctor's this morning and he said it was just the cold she has making it hard to breathe when she's lying down - but she's constantly had colds for the last six months and it's never been this bad - sounds like a cop out. Maybe teething as well but I don't know. I've had to ring in sick since sod going to the office on three hours kip (and wanted to help my wife with the baby today anyway). We've got her some sleep now by driving the car round a bit. Just still a worry that something else might be wrong.
Just remember that you don’t remember anything about being that age and neither will she. Obviously exhaust any chance of there being a physical cause for her behaviour but if it is in her dreams, she won’t remember it.Same again tonight, maybe even worse. Go with your gut and get back to the doctor. Has she got colic perhaps?Same again tonight, maybe even worse. Definitely don't think the doctor was correct. It's almost she's screaming in her sleep. Someone smelling of tobacco used to make me feel the same, if they came too close to me - as in 5 yards.Drove my missus to have her Flu and Covid jab last night. I sat in the waiting area while she went in for the jabs and a bloke sat next to me who absolutely stank of cannabis. I had to get up and go outside as it was making me feeling sick.
I think she's too old for that at 9 months? Rare at that age but maybe it's possible. If there's a third night of it tonight then yes we will have to go back to doctor or maybe paediatrics.Go with your gut and get back to the doctor. Has she got colic perhaps?

Do you give her Calpol.I think she's too old for that at 9 months? Rare at that age but maybe it's possible. If there's a third night of it tonight then yes we will have to go back to doctor or maybe paediatrics.
Doesn't happen often these days, but used to hate the gits who smoked while playing golf, and managed to blow the smoke in your direction. Yuk.
Yeah we've been giving her that. I'm not sure if it's pain causing it or something else. So difficult to know.Do you give her Calpol.
Helps with so many infant conditions.
I've just asked my daughter who works in the Children's hospital, explained what you've posted. She's worked with children all her working life, now in her 40's. Soon as she gives me her thoughts I'll let you know.Yeah we've been giving her that. I'm not sure if it's pain causing it or something else. So difficult to know.
