Ryanair. Flight delayed from 2105 to 2315. No reason given, no updates provided.

Currently only passengers bound for Edinburgh still in Alicante airport.
Your plane was diverted to London earlier instead of going straight to Alicante from Edinburgh. Could’ve been a medical emergency on board, a technical hitch or grounded due to the storm.

Worst night we've ever had with the little one. She just kept crying and wouldn't sleep. Took three hours to get her down, then she was only sleeping for an hour or two then crying again. Took her to the doctor's this morning and he said it was just the cold she has making it hard to breathe when she's lying down - but she's constantly had colds for the last six months and it's never been this bad - sounds like a cop out. Maybe teething as well but I don't know. I've had to ring in sick since sod going to the office on three hours kip (and wanted to help my wife with the baby today anyway). We've got her some sleep now by driving the car round a bit. Just still a worry that something else might be wrong. 🫤

We’ve all been there. This will sound mad but try it next time. Put some Vicks Vaporub on the soles of their feet, then put socks on before setting them down to bed.

I wouldn’t have believed it until we went through similar, it’s like some sort of voodoo but it really settles them when suffering coughs and gripes.

We have a vacorub nightlight thing (link) that seems to work pretty well with Sophia when she has a cough etc.

Was having a conversation with a friend yesterday about Cameron’s brewery in Hartlepool. I get an ad today on FB for Cameron’s ales. The conversation was verbal, not via WhatsApp, and Cameron’s brewery is a small brewery with a relatively small catchment area.

Double Spooky? Coincidence?

I vaguely remember that one of the South Korean TV manufacturers had had its wings clipped because their smart TV’s could listen in on conversations… or am I dreaming that bit?
I think you may be right, Alexa is listening.
There's been a few spooky occasions recently. Ads popping up on Facebook or on PC about things we've been talking about.

You can't complain after what you posted in Gladden the heart thread! 😜

4 days of golf, lots of booze and walking away with the prizes.
I mean, really? 😎 🍻🍷🍷

Double Spooky.

My wIfe's friend recently lost her husband.
Today she found a diamond ring at the side of her kitchen sink.
It was not hers and no one else was in the house. She has rung the three freinds who had been in the house recently and it is not theirs.

Later in the day she went through some old Christmas decs that had been stored away for over seven years.
In the sealed box she found the key for her late husbands car.
She had spent days searching for this key as it was the only one they had ever had for the car [which she was going to sell].
Not quite at that level but, when putting a new latch on my gate, I lost a small clear plastic cover that covers the screw bits in my electric screwdriver case. A week later, while walking the dog, I found the cover on the grass by the path several hundered metres from our house. What are the odds on that?

Where to start.......My day:

Fly from Newcastle to Heathrow. Flight is 30 minutes late, 20 minutes to get off plane and reach terminal, in theory 10 minutes before my next flight leaves. I'm stressed and expecting to miss my flight.

Get into the terminal, discover next flight is 30 minutes late, phew

In reality we take off 1hr 40 after supposed to 😔

Arrive in Munich, passport queue takes 45 minutes to get through, and I was near the front 🙄. Absolute mess and mirrors every other European airport now.

Whilst waiting I discover my bag didn't make the connection 😡🤬. It will likely be delivered tomorrow. I have bought replacement toiletries, shirt and underwear will have to be tomorrow morning now. Due to the time I'm leaving for an exhibition it may have to be from a station shop. Now it's a heck of a set up at Munich but even so, can I avoid a I ❤ Munich tee shirt 🤣

Stonking day 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

BA have sent me a customer satisfaction survey. At least that will bring some pleasure 🤣

Edit: in a bavarian restaurant, great beer and pork. They've run out of apple strudel. In Munich 😳😭. Have I not suffered enough today?

Best of luck, it’s tough - just take your breaks when you can, she will get better! I’ve never driven so much when we were bringing up ours 😀

Whenever my two had me up in the night, (still do sometimes), I'd always remind myself that millions of people weren't lucky enough to have kids to be disturbed by them. Always sort of helped me put it in perspective, and it doesn't last forever.

I hope it's clear that my irritation isn't in being woken up - it's in seeing my baby in distress and not being able to do a damn thing about it. 😞
