On the guy on his mobile etc…Just making the observation that he may have been stationary whilst on the phone…but he was in a queue of cars, and his engine would have been running as he waited for the queue to move. My question is then…would he have immediately ended his phone conversation as soon as the car in front moved…or would he have kept going with his conversation until he had finished. I do not know the answer to that question, and none of us do…but I can hazard a guess and I’m pretty confident that my guess would be correct.

I doubt he was actually making a phone call, he was probably just looking at something on the web, or checking out an email or sending a text. It is tempting when you are stationary, I have to put my phone where I can’t reach it!

This may or may not be the case, but the question then still remains as to whether or not he’d keep looking or checking after the queue started to move and he started to move himself…and I don’t know how far any plea that contains the words ‘I was only…’ gets you under the law.

I didn't actually. Barely 8am and several of my pet hates have managed to manifest themselves already.

It's clearly too tempting for some ! I walk past a long queue of traffic in the morning and it's quite obvious quite a few are using their phones. Maybe I should record them

I don’t think I have ever had one without vodka

The only time I had Red Bull was when it was fairly new and all players got a free can at a golf comp.
It tasted very much like Tesco Cream Soda.
As the Red Bull is about 20 times the price of Tesco Cream Soda, I don't think it will pass my lips ever again.

It is only 14 times the price.

…and I suspect that our life isn’t any the poorer for it. All that said I hold my hands up to occasionally checking my phone when in my car and stationary and it’s not connected handsfree to the car - and not when I’m a passenger. But I don’t do it in heavier traffic, and know and accept that even then I shouldn’t. My Mrs observed yesterday on seeing someone on his phone when he was driving past us that she sees a lot less of it these days than she used to.

On Gregg - not sticking up for him in any way, shape or form, but Johnny Vaughan made a good point on the radio when I was driving home yesterday. Did anyone tell him he was being inappropriate at the time? It seems like these days you get the witch hunt and trial by media a long time after the fact, with people banding together. If he'd have just been told the first couple of times that he was inappropriate, maybe he would have packed it in sooner? Or maybe he was and he ignored them, I don't know. You just seem to get this massive pile-on to a different celeb every couple of months. Not so long ago it was Russell Brand, but that's all disappeared now it seems.
