And if you listen to the foodie experts on the cookery progs theyll tell you shelf life of dried spices/herbs is a few months.When I bought my first house in 1990 I visited a spice store in the city centre nearby and bought myself a large packet of chilli powder. I filled a large old Nescafé jar and gave the rest away. It’s hot stuff.
I reckon I’ve cooked a chilli at least once a week in the 35 years since and I’ve still got 1/2 the jar left. Reckon it’ll outlast me.
