A very nice and popular person left. Rightly to be fair, but that doesn't mean that they won't be missed.

The last 3 weeks have seen 3 good characters leave. All good bakers, just 'not their week'. No room for error this series.

Not for me. The nice, but way too intense Dylan should have gone.

I think it was a close call but ultimately her final bake didn't taste nice. If it comes down to 'does it look good or does it taste good', taste has to win. It's cake, taste is everything 😋. Just my opinion.

On that point, I want to go around to Gill's house and eat there. She does cakes I'd like to eat, in portions I'd like on my plate 😂. I'd be huge, but a happy huge.

She should have gone through just for her adorable Autumn Tiara

I've also gone of any forms of Masterchef. But still enjoy GBBO. Much less intense. It's at the stage now where you are sorry to see anyone go really. Last weeks I thought was a shame. All deserved though on the day. Everyone can have good days and bad days.

I am the same (though I have not watched this series of GBBO). Masterchef shot itself in the foot, it went intensity and pressure and was all about getting loads of people in to start and cutting loads each week when the trend was for a small group that the audience gets to know. You really get no idea of who the contestants in Masterchef are until finals week and even then not much.

Folk who try to rip you off.

Currently in Lanzarote. Missus decided she needed a sun hat and picked one out at 7.99.

I gave the guy a 10 euro note. He gave me 1 euro and 1 cent in change. I said to him “it was 7.99, not 8.99”. He just looked at me, opened the till and handed me another euro. No apology or anything. Bet he does this trick all day long.

Do they still have the final that lasts a week and people get eliminated throughout the week? Surely a final is the last people in the competition and not an elimination thing.

It also shot itself in the foot by keeping Greg Wallace on the show. His pointless comments and stupid expressions are a constant source of irritation! 😁

Someone wished me "happy Halloween" today.

a) Is this a thing?
b) Isn't that counter intuitive?

It’s quite bizarre really. Over here in Spain it’s party time, fireworks & a big family meal tonight. Tomorrow is All Souls Day, a Bank Holiday. Tomorrow you will see families taking picnic hampers, tables & chairs to the local cemetery. If you walk past a cemetery you’ll here music & laughter… no doubt there’s tears too but tomorrow evening will see the bars and restaurants stuffed with families.

Just a thought...
If I hear a blood-curdling scream outside tonight is it someone being horribly murdered or someone messing around trying to scare people..?

And just as we're discussing civilised Halloween on a different thread, I bump into the other side of it - 10 teenage yoofs dressed in black with hoodies and balaclavas chucking eggs at people.
Shame on any parent that's let their little 💩 go out dressed like that this evening.

That is what I saw a lot of on my way home through town, big groups of teenagers all in black with hoodies and face coverings

Selfish kids ..

Bucket of sweets outside. First kids to take from it just now they emptied it all into their bag bar like 1 sweet

So I went out to take it all in and some cute kid was just coming so I let her have the last of it and brought it all inside

All someone that ruins it for the rest
