In fact, the word Christmas will probably banned so we'll have to call it 'Season of Colour'!

People said that would happen, never did. Never will, just standard daily mail moaning for the sake of moaning.

Me too....the wife decorates...painting, tiling, wallpapering.

I chainsaw things and build new things in place of what I've just butchered.

What works for my dog, who absolutely abhors all the noise, is Classic FM played loudly!
I know that sounds odd, but it works for my pooch.

Cheers Slime, good shout.. Yeah we do the classic fm for dogs bit on bonfire night.. Bit of a bonus for me, as thankfully I like a lot of the stuff they play.. Especially the ones that you recognise from films.... Bizarrely it's friday night and I've heard 1 firework... ... The last 2 weeks have been like Bosnia... Sometimes I love the wet Scottish weather... It's a good ned deterrent...

She said, pl hold back as we have Black Friday sale next week. So I held back and put a reminder to buy it on Friday. Went to order it and indeed there was 20% off across the site. The only problem is that they had increased the price of the chair by 26%... So after the black friday , it was more expensive than regular price. Well done !!

Thought that was illegal and the item had to have been on sale at "full" price for a certain length of time prior to being "reduced"??

They have to have been reduced 'somewhere '. If it's a national company it could be at price x in St Ives, nowhere else and that's enough. Smoke and mirrors.

I think that those of a Christian faith might have something to say about cancelling use of the word Christmas…though quite possible that some might not make the connection

The 1st of the "Black November" emails offering discounts on golf stuff. Its gone from Black Friday > Black Friday Weekend > Black November in space of 3yrs!!

On holiday this week with Jet2, they send me an email on Friday with a code for £120 off our next booking. That’s very nice thinks me, then I notice it expires on the day we travel home (yesterday). Spent most of the day travelling, got home at 8pm knackered, last thing I want to do is plan and book next years holiday.

If they had given us a week or even a month to use the code, I would have, but I just don’t see the logic of expiring it the day we travel.
