Frampton was so overrated. The voice box was novel and that was it. Not a fan in any way and yes I've listened to Somethin's Happening, Frampton and Frampton Comes Live so arguably the pinnacle of his career
Ah yes…Frampton Comes Alive…that’s the album I misremembered the title of. TBH, I don’t believe I ever got through all four sides.

Bloody Pesky Pedestrians (but not all of them)... Those who choose to cross at a intersection with lights. With no traffic around, why press the button and then walk before it turns green. I was about 200-300 yards away, and while they pressed the button, crossed the road and got onto the other side. By the time I got to the lights it turned red and for no reason, just sat there looking at the other driver. just tumbleweed across the road while the jaywalkers walked away..

So what? It is normally pedestrians waiting in the rain whilst cars pass by. I’m happy to press the button just in case but will cross if safe to do so.

Saw Frampton at the Albert Hall a couple of years ago, stunning concert, the voice box was only used on about 4 songs, so it’s not as dominant as you might think.

Heck of an artist 🤘😎

Pointless work restructures and the job uncertainty that comes with it.
Last year, i was asked to take a Sr role. I said I could do it, but will i get any support or team to manage the higher targets. The answer was no. So i said, for 10% pay rise, I take a 60% jump in target with no additional support and increased chance of getting fired for not meeting new target.... where do i sign. It did not go down very well... was seen as 'not having the right mindset'

The 3 pedestrian crossings nearest us are all within 20 yards of a roundabout, and it’s impossible to see if cars are coming from the busiest road because of blocks of flats. If I’m crossing, I will always press the button in case someone comes flying round the corner.

Been there. We got a new manager in who didn't like me and the fact that I knew far more than she did and saw me as a threat. Suddenly we were going through a consultation process as our jobs were being rebanded. Despite being the most experienced and with a lot of happy managers for the areas I recruited for I was the only one not to get through the process. Strange that. In the end it worked out and I am in my current role and very happy.

My current contract has seen 4 restructures. Several contractors have their contracts terminated and replaced by permanent staff who have been redistributed.
Some of the re distributed ones fit in, others decide time to move on , or get assassinated in the next re-organisation.
I have survived because my skill set is unique as is my experience. I learned my lesson that never train or share your tools .. they will keep the tools and get a younger cheaper operator. By all means support and encourage but never give any thing away that could devalue your contribution. It sounds selfish but it’s about keeping the family fed and clothed .

Today I am just struggling with the reality of our situation and what the future holds .. not sure whether it was my wife saying you need to throw this stuff away or several disturbed nights as she has insomnia. Or is it just rubbish weather ?

Stick Season by Noah Kahan.
It's a great song but a relentless earworm.
After a month of it being on repeat in my head when I'm trying to get to sleep, when I wake up in the night, when the alarm goes off, when I'm walking to the station, when I'm on the train, when I'm driving, eating, cooking, lining up a putt... I'm ready for it to stop now please.
