My wife is having her knee op in 4 weeks so Ive decided not to read your post 🥴
Bad luck though.
It wasn’t the hospitals fault.
Her blood was not clotting enough to go ahead.
But our gripe is it should have been picked up much earlier but they didn’t adress it for six weeks and was to late then.😳

The Sensational Alex Band were awesome…very underrated in a time of the emergence of great British heavier rock bands - Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Judas Priest, Deep Purple, Atomic Rooster, Nazareth etc.
Saw them in the 70's at the Vetch Field in Swansea. The Who were topping the bill and the light show was a single thin red laser light from floodlight to floodlight 😆
AH did a cracking version of "School's out Forever".

I drove to South Wales this morning, mostly in fog and rain .......................................... and still find others don't feel the need to put their bloody lights on!!
Also, and this is strange, the number of cars that had no rear lights on but their front lights were on.
I think that maybe something to do with the stuoidity that is the auto lights functions that blights modern cars.

Toilet roll in motorway service areas.
It's so narrow that it's nothing more than long ticker tape leaving me no choice but to floss rather than wipe!
What's that all about?

I've had Volvo's in the past that have the rear lights on all of the time but I think they are the only ones who do that. No idea why they are alone, it is eminently sensible. As you say, people think auto lights cover them but they really don't.

Looks like a near 4% not enough for the greedy ones

It's not the % tbh. It's far bigger than that. It's to do with pay band freezes. If they offer 4% with no band freeze we accept

Pay band freezes came in tfl 10 years ago and it's been used to make wages lower. Once you go top of band you get a lump sum rise not on your pension

They are trying it on Lu now

My prediction is it won't happen now industrial action has been called because for example my grade is so business critical they said right your ok you won't be frozen but other grades will be. That's not fair and consistent

To give you an idea how unpopular this is my union never call strike and even we are balloting now for strike. That says a lot when the reasonable union says out

That'll be the Daylight Running Lights....mandatory on all new cars since 2011 I think
Some, like mine, have a strip of LEDs on each corner at the front...some just put the front headlights on but not the rears
So the rear lights don't 't come on until they're switched on....

Delivered the poppy pots today and overall had a fantastic day. But by eck there is some miserable folk out there.
One major coffee shop would not have a tin on there counter “ coz if we get inspected and it shouldn’t be there we get docked a point” 😳
Another didn’t want a pot on the counter as they don’t want to accept responsibility for the pot. But you are more than happy to stand outside for two weeks 😳

Met some fantastic folk from the community today though.

My wife briefly had a Hyundai i30 (got rid a few weeks ago - just had too many irritating features).
It had so-called auto lights, which didn't come on when it was getting gloomy, but did come on briefly when passing under bridges 😂

Think it must have been later than that. My wife had a 2012 car without.
My own 2017 car has it (but you can alter the settings so they don't come on).

They also had a very good advert ,” your car doesn’t turn into a motorbike when a light fails”
