How very quaint, ours comes of our bar card. But our bar levy can't be used for comps.
A lady came in to complain that she couldn't enter the comp as not enough money. She just couldn't grasp the concept bar levy doesn't equate to comps.

We are similar. We have a card which has entries deducted and we use to pay for food and drink and if there isn't enough you're not entered into the competition. Call me simple but even if you don't use the bar to eat and drink, how hard is it to keep a nominal £10-20 on there for comps

We atleast have caught up with the times and now have a computer to input scores if we wish.

A new phone and case for the wife, so 2 packages, left on the step at the front door which they took a picture of as "proof of delivery".
It would have been nice if they'd rung the door bell so the wife could have answered the door to take it personally rather than leaving it for anyone to help themselves (which they do)
I only found it by chance.

I find the worse is when they put on the email "handed to resident" when they leave it on the doorstep

The fixation on the news with the hurricane in Florida. It's a 2 minute, item 3 or 4 piece. Instead, it's number 1, 10 minutes. They went to live pictures this morning, 'you can see the force'. Actually, the trees, all upright, were swaying gently in a soothing fashion. I've no doubt it's been terrible in parts, although not the cat 5 initially suggested, but if you don't have the pictures, don't make nonsense claims.

I was reading about a British fella who is heading out there on holiday who suggested us Brits have more testicular fortitude than the Americans, who he says are just making an unnecessary fuss.

In 1982 we was on Holliday in the Dominican Republic during Hurricane Debby, the place was battened down tight, all windows boarded up, all the sun beds were chucked in the pool to stop them flying about etc, letter put under our door telling us to hide in the bathroom!

Anyway, being young and foolish we thought we would creep down to the beach to see the massive waves and horizontal trees, when we got there it was full of other Brits who had the same idea! Bottles of rum were opened, beers brought out and the maddest beach party I have ever been too broke out! The hotel manager kept telling everyone to come inside but he was pretty much ignored. Was a crazy day.
