You sound like one of my work colleagues. Every time I speak to him he has one lurgy or another. He says he keeps getting from his kids as they go to nursery and school.Ill yet again. Banging headache, sore throat and all my limbs aching this time, must be a flu. It's like I don't have an immune system anymore. My little girl was ill over a week ago so I'm not sure if I got it off her, just a bit delayed, or whether I need to keep away from her so she doesn't catch it off me!

Constantly being emailed by my energy provider every few months about needing to upgrade to a smart meter, when I don't need to upgrade to anything. About six months ago I complained and they apologised and gave me £30 credit on my account, yet they continue to send the same emails.

A bit of thread drift if I may. I like to watch the Budget - it’s quite entertaining. I do have a question about protocol that someone on here may know the answer.
As usual, there was a lot of shouting and noise and the Deputy Speaker had to call for order a number of times. Towards the end of the Chancellor’s speech she used a surname to warn a member about his behaviour, using the address of ‘Mr Perkins’ , apparently a surname is specifically used when starting the process of evicting him.
Question. Is this a common or a rare occurrence in the HofC and is it effective? (the speech ended shortly after so there was no further need for action.). Does it happen in the HofL?
I don't think evicting someone is that common. You can lose privileges, be banned for a few days etc so for all the bluster they don't like to push things too far. Warnings are usually enough.
HoL. Nowhere near as confrontational or tribal so this sort of thing doesn't really happen. Most of the bluster in the HoC is for show. No one watches the Lords so showboating would be wasted.
no one has a choice even with the privatized companies in England.. look on the bright side at least its not going to share holders and racking up huge debts to pay them.

I had something similar years ago with a tiler. New bathroom and the tiler made a right mess cutting the tiles on the drive. Had to phone the company to get their tiler to come and clean his mess away. Some tradesmen do my head in at times.
