Usual annual “debate” with a car dealership about servicing.

Phoned me to tell me its due, told them its done and was by an independent that updated the OBC and has provided itemised OEM superior part lists. Usual spiel back about how its affected my warranty, usual retort about EUBE rules and to ask AGAIN that they remove me from their service database.

Roll on next year for the same old conversation when they fail to remove me or understand the rules properly.
BMW?
Great cars. Scum of the Earth when it comes to servicing.
Had my 5-series major serviced + rear pads at a trusted local indie today for £500.
It has to go in to the main dealer soon for a recall. Thought about getting the service done while it's there but they quoted £750. Last time they had it was for the end of warranty check 3 years ago, when the mechanic noticed a diff fluid leak on his video walkaround but decided not to bother putting it in the report as something they needed to sort out.

Yep, same every year. My mate does my services and uses superior parts and additives. Costs me £160 all in. BMW wanted £480 for the same service.

Will have the same in July with Merc when the wife’s AMG is due its major service. Again my mate will do fluids, brakes and filters for £500. Merc want just shy of £1000 for that one.

Can we as a nation stand up and say no more white washing.

Do you need white shirts? Not really. Any colour would work effectively

Do you need white socks ? Not really you could have a light grey sock

Do kids need white for school? Of course they don't! Asda do cheap coloured polos .. can have any of them as the school colour. Easier to keep clean

You don't need a white wash.

It's utterly ridiculous

Literally end up putting a white wash on every 3 days that's basically 1/4 full because they insist on white socks for the kids. Why? Why would you give children white socks?

Let's make a stand.

No more white washing

What!!

What socks am I going to wear for golf?

Every time you put on a small wash for white stop and think you could buy another pair at least for the cost of the wash.

Not arguing although I am sure there are clubs that would insist on whiter than white socks, or back to the pro shop for a new pair. .

Not wanting to raise the dress code issue however my main issue with it is that something is deemed unacceptable, but a faded shirt that's been washed out since the 50s and off white socks are fine as they meet the standard

My three and a bit year old Mazda that needs a new battery. Obviously just out of warranty and £97.00 later. Took me longer to find my tools and put them away again than it did to replace the old battery with the new on. A battery only lasting three years is just wrong.

Ill yet again. Banging headache, sore throat and all my limbs aching this time, must be a flu. It's like I don't have an immune system anymore. My little girl was ill over a week ago so I'm not sure if I got it off her, just a bit delayed, or whether I need to keep away from her so she doesn't catch it off me! 🙁

Do you take anything to boost your immune system?
