You gotta remember, 'guilt' is a totally a personal choice
It's entirely up to you whether you feel it or not 😉
I don't feel guilty at all, I know what I give already. It's the attempt at pressuring me and others that annoys me. You can't approach people on the street to ask for donations, you shouldn't be able to do the same from behind the till.

When it was done in the streets it used to be called "Chugging" - Charity Mugging. Now it's being done in Supermarkets, I guess its Suprerchugging?

I've just done my weekly shop at Tesco and had my first experience of their "smart" security trolleys. As I was leaving the store, weaving through the superchuggers, the trolley slammed its brakes on and I slammed into the trolley handle. My nuts took the full force. I hadn't purchased any nuts. What a stupid design.

Daughters been annoyed that the forecasted snow never came this week. So we went to Braemar and we had a lovely first of the season’s winter walk along a ridge leading to a nearby Corbett. Stunning day, lots of ice and a thin dusting of snow.

Got home in the dark to find it had snowed with about a 2 to 3 inch blanket lying. Unforecast and we missed it. So despite having an amazing day in solid ice and snow of the mountains, the daughter is sulking because “we missed the snow” 🤬

Strictly Come Dancing. Used to enjoy it but just gone right off it. Audience booing and cheering plus all the peripheral flim-flammery…just irritates.

Add in that the judges aren’t anywhere near as good. Craig is Craig but still takes a dislike to some contestants, judging them on a clash of personalities. Shirley often just seems shallow. Anton loses credibility with his clowning around - good judge but too inconsistent.

Then there’s the professional dancers. A few of them big themselves up too much.

The train from Manchester to Scunthorpe yesterday. It left 45 mins late. Buying a first class ticket was pointless - it was rammed, and no guard. On approach to Sheffield it’s announced that the train would not be stopping at Doncaster, Scunthorpe, Barnetby & Haborough but would be going on to Grimsby & Cleethorpes. All passengers for those stations were to get off the train and get on the one behind, which was running 5 mins late.

Couldn’t even get into the first class carriage on the second train, and neither of the two toilets on the train worked.

Arrived in Scunthorpe 1hr 5mins late. 100% refund due, but that’s not the point.

At least travelling a day early has meant we beat the weather. Looks like 3 inches of snow out there now.

Argos delivery came calling on Monday to deliver a £240 bed. Strange, I didn't order a bed. It was meant for next door but I took it for him.
He didn't order the bed.
The bed had no delivery address just a item number and name.
I spent almost an hour today trying to get it collected and to arrange some sort of goodwill gesture payment when the line went dead. Waited 10 mins for her to call me back, she had my number. Nothing.
I started again, 20 mins later finally got collection confirmed for Sat 07.00-21.00 but I couldn't get any thank you voucher as there was no order number in the conformation e-mail I didn't get because I didn't order it.
So much for doing the right thing.
And now I can't do anything on Saturday until they collect the bed.
I should have sold it on Facebook

Nothing.
Sat in for 14 hours. No-one came, no-one phoned, nowt.
I don't want the bed, Argos don't seem to want it and the original order was canceled so she doesn't want it either. And now it's sat in my car port blocking my car in.
Does anyone know where I stand legally please?
Can I now sell the bed?
Thanks in advance for any legal advice.

Grumpy old curmudgeon.

When I lived at my parents I ordered a TV, they sent 2 by accident. I wanted to do the right thing (mainly because I knew one day they would catch up and come after the money lol) 😂 anyways took about 2 weeks for them to come and get this TV. Was more effort than it was worth

Yep, there's a public transport crisis.
Affordable housing crisis.
Domestic fuel crisis.
Water and sewerage crisis.
Cost of living crisis - standard of living continues to fall for most.
Hard to find anything at all that is improving.
But it is all the fault of someone or something else.
Or so we are told.

Etsy. A work colleague is now on there. He links into another seller, makes it look like it's his stuff and sells on there. In two weeks he's sold £750 making about £250. No stock no nowt.
It's the future!!!!

I've done my bit, I made the effort to get it collected but if the bed isn't collected by next weekend, I'm going to charge them storage fees

I threatened a car lease company with that when they failed to collect one for over a month..
Worked a treat, they turned up unannounced within 48 hours and didn't charge for things I thought they would - scuffed alloys etc..
Or
Sell it and if they ever do come to pick it up, claim that someone from Argos picked it up a week ago...... ;)
