Her old employer didn't give her P45 for ages, we gave it to new employer two months ago

But on her tax account she only has 1 form of employment now but still BR

The delay in P45 shouldn't have mattered as it's all done electronically now. Has she checked to make sure all the figures for the last tax year match what she earned etc.

Some awful stuff going on very close to where I live this weekend. Firstly on Thursday night there was a police roadblock up because apparently someone got assaulted by 3 blokes - tried to run him over and then stab the feller! He didn't die though at least. Now earlier tonight someone in a van has ploughed into a bunch of parked cars, knocking a speed camera down (every cloud I guess) and sped off even though he had a punctured tyre from it. Gossip on the local Facebook page reckons he was a creep who got called out for trying to chat up teenaged girls and sped off! What the hell is going on. Have to think about moving at this rate.

No one wants a middle of the night call as invariably it’s not good news. A good friend picked the time to ring and say his cancer has spread. Do you say, “ring me back in a few hours,“ or do you stay on the line chatting for hours…

I’m struggling to keep my eyes open now but I have a busy day ahead… bowls club in just over an hour for a final. Can’t say i’m to fussed about it after receiving the news. But at least we’re out to lunch with them/him at 2pm. We’ll have a beer, and no doubt well up a little.

I gave you a ‘ like’ - it was meant as a sympathetic agreement.
This weekend we met up with friends of 38 years on Friday and another couple of 30 years on Saturday. The first couple have just lost their daughter to breast cancer the second couple lost their son to suicide. As you say life can be cruel.
