Scratching noises in our loft. Don't know if it's mice, squirrels, birds or what. Have been up for a look but only the middle bit is boarded and I only had a small torch so couldn't see anything. Will have to call someone out.

Living in the country you get used to it in Winter. Could me mice, rats, bats, any number of things. All I know is that the cats will deal with it when it sticks its head out.
Try a plug in ultrasonic mouse deterrent before you go to the expense of a calling someone out. Get it in the loft if you have a socket up there. If not, get it in a socket as near there as you can get. We are rural and had mice up there quite often. Since using these we have been scratch freeScratching noises in our loft. .All the pest controller will do is lay traps, put nasties down. More will come, just different ones. There are more of them than us.........
