This is very much a local one. Newcastle are going to Wembley and a number of shops are putting in the window the song that has been adopted, 'tell me Ma, me Ma, I wont be home for tea, I'm going to Wembley, tell me Ma, me Ma'. It's done the rounds for years, I'm sure many are familiar with it.

Why irritating? No one up here uses Ma, it's Mam. Not mum, mother and certainly not Ma. It's Mam. If you are going to sing the song, make it your own. I'm irrationally irritated by every local shop putting this up and posting it on Facebook.

Tiny irritation in the grand scheme of your club being back at Wembley :) Just sing Mam really loudly and enjoy!!!

Apprently it is now OK to come into work with whatever illness you like as long as you wear a mask (any mask with ll do apparrently, I fully expect someone to turn up one day with the flu wearing a kids hulk mask). Now a third of the office off with cold, sore throat etc (not covid, all tested) because one person thought that it was OK to come into a confined space when sick as long as she put a mask on when she went to communal areas. I am in no doubt you can guess that, as we head into the weekend, I am feeling the first signs this afternoon, hence the rant.

My annoying OCD habit. When putting on my shoes it has to be my right shoe first. If, by accident, I pick up the left one first I put it down and then pick up the right one. And then there’s tying the laces. I don’t tie the laces till both are on, and then I tie the right one first.

I don’t usually realise I’m OCD till I pick the wrong one up first, and then it becomes annoying.
I've been thinking about this all day just as @Imurg predicted.
Today I realised that when putting my golf shoes on I put the right one on first. When I put the left one on, I continue with it and tie the lace. Then I go back to the right one and tie the lace.
I think that I've always done this, but I can't be entirely sure. That bit of uncertainty is irritating me.
I'm going to continue with my established routine now that I am aware of it. I'll take some comfort in that, I suppose.

But which sock do you put on first…Imurg is onto something here… how to play with people’s minds, i.e. tell them they’ll think about it regularly.

Do you remember Mike (Hawkeye) on here?
Played with him a few times and if he started winning you just had to get him thinking about his swing - do you think you create enough lag - and that was it..game over:LOL:

We’ve had people come to work with Covid.
They wear a mask & try not to get close to anyone.
Some can’t afford a week off work.
