On the TV, yes, we must have an even number volume. That's more for my wife but I've picked it up from her. But it's easily done since the volume will be somewhere between 20 and 30, whereas in the car I can't do it because the scale is lower, and I quite often need it to be on 5, where 4 is too quiet and 6 is too loud.

Oven is a different thing entirely. I don't care what the instructions say, everything gets cooked on 200.

Mine either - which I'm happy about as an even number only would work for me...even if an odd number was just right.
