I think I’ve posted this before as an irritation similar to the volume conundrum...
Why does my car heater have 17, 17.5, 18, 18.5, 19, 19.5, 20 and then 21, 22, 23 etc..?
Can anyone tell the difference between 18 and 18.5 degrees..?

Still not got my car back after a minor prang on Boxing Day!

Took nearly 3 weeks to get it relayed from Cumbria to Essex and now its stuck in a repair centre. I can never get through to talk to anyone and their method of communication is by Text message. (Which I am unable to reply to)

Every few days I get an "Update" which is always the same, "Delay in getting parts, hope to get them by xx, will be in touch on xx to confirm, hope to get your car returned by xx"

Its pathetic, the thing needed a new wheel and tyre. (both in stock at Volvo) maybe a corner section of the bumper and the tracking doing.

Car Insurance, renewal price came in over £100 more, did the comparison and could get like for like at similar to original price. Challenged existing insurer who matched others. Despite maintaining same price as last year from same insurer on the same terms, I still feel ripped off - it’s like they are trying to catch you out for not being attentive.
With automatic renewal and todays quote for next year is £40 less, now that's a result 😀

Mine has increased for 2 cars by over £200. mrs 3OTT does around 1000, yes that is correct, miles per annum. may I ask which company please?

Also D-S if possible. private PM is fine. Understand if you prefer to keep it to yourselves

Many thanks

More importantly, when you are driving to the course what number is the volume on the radio set to? Always got to be an even number for me and it's the same with everything in the house. All volumes have to be even and the central heating has to be 18 or 20 degrees, never 19 or 21. Can't cook anything at 175 degrees, always 170 or 180.
You would probably enjoy playing with these

Bought a 12” disc sander for the workshop to upgrade the old 6” one that’s been struggling.

Delivered today, set it all up and the disc plate that the self adhesive sanding discs are to stick to is heavily oiled and not even WD40 degreaser is taking it off.

Who the Jeff puts oil on a surface that’s to be adhered to?

HMRC - got back to a default tax code based on a company car that I had at my previous employer that I left 6 months ago.

Another 45 mins for fug-all just to educate some numpty “ I left the dam company… how can you ad a car to my dam 23/24 tax code “

No wonder the country is heading down the crapper!

The Times I've seen this morning did not have that headline. Either they've changed it or someone has made a very poor taste cut & paste mock up.
