Thing about Bowie - especially back then - was that he give young folks permission to think and live out of the box about what was possible, unconstrained by 1960s/early 1970s sensibilities building on the lead of the Beatles and the Rolling Stones, and he gave free rein to musical and fashion ideas as well as what androgynous looked and sounded like. Liberating.

Every fool kno' that third weekend in February is most likely for snow - well at least that was my (albeit limited) experience when skiing in Scotland was on the cards...so hardly a surprise that a cold blast is on it's way.

I really shouldn't bother even reading any weather-related headline in the Daily Express, a pending 'weathermageddon' being that rag's distraction modus operandi

Had a walk around Team Valley earlier while I was waiting for my windscreen to be done, the amount of drivers who ignored me while I was waiting to cross a zebra crossing was astounding. I counted at least 6 on the 3 crossings I used, the last one I used 4 cars went past before one finally stopped 😳

Car Insurance, renewal price came in over £100 more, did the comparison and could get like for like at similar to original price. Challenged existing insurer who matched others. Despite maintaining same price as last year from same insurer on the same terms, I still feel ripped off - it’s like they are trying to catch you out for not being attentive.

Same with mine, Direct Line would not drop my massively increased premium by a penny, agreed to reduce wife's by £30. That said, all quotes were much higher than last year. No idea how it works but starting to think that hitting 50 just before my renewal has not helped as well as the general 'everything is more expensive' thing

I would almost prefer it if the existing supplier had stuck by their renewal quote, dropping it £100 when challenged leaves a sour taste - if it wasn’t for the minor hassle I’d moved out of spite.

Is it really that much hassle though? I've never found it to be.

I see four UFO's in Yank/Canadian airspace have been shot down (with a cover up story of Chinese weather balloons)

This of course is nonsense and I think we're down for anal probing by the little green men some time soon.

If only that penalty from Kane in the World Cup hadn't alerted them to our presence.:D

Zebras are a lottery. Technically you dont have to stop until someone is on the crossing, so you could argue that none of your above people broke any rules..

That used to be the case but now they should stop if someone is waiting to cross .
