what would be the point of me walking from my car to the changing rooms, changing my shoes, and then having to walk back to my car again to put my shoes back in the boot. Utter waste of time and energy.
Why not just leave them in the changing room ?

I think our club has a rule about not changing shoes in the car park - because the captain sent a reminder about it several months back. I always change my shoes in the car park regardless and nobody has directly spoke to me about it yet. If they did I'd ask for a valid reason why, and then also ask what would be the point of me walking from my car to the changing rooms, changing my shoes, and then having to walk back to my car again to put my shoes back in the boot. Utter waste of time and energy.

In summer it's not an issue, I wear summer shoes and I can drive in them so no shoe changing takes place.

So you know the club has a rule but because you don’t like it you decide to ignore it and do what you want ?

Any other club rules or golf rules you ignore because you don’t like them ?

I'm not in the habit of leaving my stuff lying around?? Someone could move it and you never see it again. It's my property I'll leave it where I know it's not going anywhere.

Don't be a pleb all your life. ? Not gracing that one with a response it doesn't deserve.

What’s wrong ? It’s a club rule and I would expect most decent people to show respect to the club and it’s rules. That’s just common decency is it not ?

How do the, we must all follow the silly rules people cope with spikeless shoes?

I drive to the course wearing my golf shoes. Am I supposed to go into the changing rooms, taken my shoes off and put them back on again? ?

Why would you need too when you already have them on ?‍♂️

You’re not changing your shoes so why would you need to go to the changing room ?

Whipsnade has the no changing shoes in the car park rule and they actually have a reasonable reason for it.
It makes everybody go into the changing rooms which is where all the notice boards are
It's an attempt to get people to actually see notices that might be important.....

When do you expect the concept of emails to reach Whipsnade? You know, messages going directly to each member ?‍♂️.

Half the members there are like Richart....there's barely a mobile about the place...email? Not likely..
Anyway, left there 3 years ago...
Ellesborough had the rule as well but when C19 came along it was scrapped and never reinstated.

It’s called common sense. Sometimes when I’m driving and I have right of way I let other drivers through because it improves the flow of traffic (or even because I’m feeling nice). I’m not sticking rigidly to the rules, I’m exercising judgment.

What is it with you and rules?

I too step outside the boundary of the course to change my shoes now the rule is back in force post covid. I often wait around so the blazer brigade witness the act. I don't know why but I really get off on it.
My last "win" was following my protest at the mandatory £70 bar levy (I never use the bar) the captain and secretary said "oh well". Durring a society I purchased a round of £70 worth of drinks and took great pleasure at the captain witnessing me depositing the cash into my wallet whilst I slapped my card on the bar ?
