That happens when they are the two most successful and biggest clubs in England - the appeal about them both from their own fans and rivals will always be bigger than any other club in England.

Perhaps its more that supporters of other clubs dont feel the need to go around shouting "look at us". ;)

My son has gone across to London, staying with a mate, for tomorrow's game. He doesn't have a ticket but wants to be part of the atmosphere. He has sent pictures back of Trafalgar square, it's gone black and white 😁.

Looks like everyone is having a lot of fun, really enjoying the experience.

Come on The Toon, they are the best fans in the country by miles and it’s time they were rewarded.

Massively confused. Ziyech slams his hand into the Spurs player, end3d up going into his neck, lower face. 2 or 3 mins pass, then ref gives a red. Looked like he was speaking to VAR due to delay. Then immediately VAR tells him to review decision

How the hell does VAR get Casemiro sent off for holding off an opponent non aggressively, then tell ref he has made a mistake after sending a player off for throwing his arm into an opponents head?

Should have been two yellows .
one for the tackle and one for the push.
VAR is just not fit for purpose.

A few weeks ago we were told a player must not rais3 their arms under any circumstances, or it is a red. Today, it is OK slam your hand into someone's face, so long as it was an accident, and you were only aiming for just below the head and misjudged it.

It looked like ref was going to do nothing, as he didn't even look to give red after he booked the others. VAR were still looking at it. Then, suddenly, he gave the red. Found that odd, was as though VAR told him it should be red, but he never reviewed it on screen. Only then, VAR immediately told him to review it.

I almost have a feeling VAR were reviewing it, and assumed he hadn't given red. He then gave a delayed red, without them realising. They then told him to review it, as they thought it could be a red. But, as he had just given red, he thought they were asking him to review it as he made a mistake in giving a red. Just felt a strange sequence of events.

I appreciate Potter's job has not been simple, with loads of players coming in for big money. But, would it not be time for him to just try and pick a pretty consistent side, and see if that would help. I heard he has made over 70 changes to starting line up in 18 games. Not sure how you can expect the players to adapt to his style with so many changes.

Confused here as well. We've long been told that putting your hand in a player's face is a red card, yet VAR intervenes to say it isn't. Does anyone know the rules anymore?
