Utd killing football 😂😂😂👍

Some shoddy journalism there (nothing changes really)....

Dennis Law signed (first time around) for Manchester City in 1960. The article compares his transfer fee to those of "stars of a decade ago"...

Pete Doherty signed for Huddersfield in 1946
Bryn Jones for Arsenal in 1938
Tommy Lawton for Everton in 1937
Hughie Gallacher for Newcastle in 1925

not even close to a decade ago...even Doherty!!!

(I'm not such a nerd that I knew all this - had to go look the first three up...but I knew that Hughie Gallacher joined Newcastle in the 20's!!!)

From the BBC Football site;

"Alexander-Arnold, while not alone in his modest performance, lost possession 20 times in a first 45 minutes at Selhurst Park that left much to be desired."

20 times in 45 minutes!
Can this be correct?

He was absolutely abysmal. In 1st half I thought he was trying to make an assist for Palace. Got bullied out of possession once as well, giving them a great chance.

Funny I just did say to my husband there are two sets of fans who dominate!

That happens when they are the two most successful and biggest clubs in England - the appeal about them both from their own fans and rivals will always be bigger than any other club in England.
