Rental Rights Act

Thanks for the feedback on whether or not we should be going down the rental route…and though it’s very helpful it doesn’t really answer my question around revised Ground 1 of Section 8 of the new legislation.

And yes…selling is an option that’s on the table…and it would very likely be to a young family. That said I did the ‘sell to a couple with a young family’ thing with my parents house…for less than another offer we had. And a year later the couple separated and sold up 🙄.

Anyway…

Having had my youngest daughter be told less than a week after their honeymoon he loved someone else, having to sell up sometimes isn't something originally on the plans..

As my life gets older, I want it simpler. Pardon the pun, but it’s as simple as that. I have seen the stress that comes from dealing with parents who have passed away and sorting out there affairs. And I am still dealing with it.
If it was me the house would be sold. As simple as that. Would I want to rent, Air bnb etc. not a cat in hells chance.
A PP has sold the two houses he had bought and was renting out. The initial idea was to give the two houses to his children. In his own words. It was a Royal PITA. By the time ha had paid for repairs to the roof, a new gas boiler he hardly made anything the last year on one of the houses.
Cut the cloth SILH and spend time with Missis SILH, not worrying over a house. 👍
