Sorry, I briefly got emotional there. I was losing ground in most of my leagues but this will certainly help.

Trouble is 99% already had him captain but a good use of the chip.

I was cursing my decision to transfer the German Crouch when he got 2 early goals after doing very little for weeks. Thankfully Calvert Lewin was the replacement and did the business!

Managed to get 78 without any chips and still have a 3 transfers left, so quite pleased. Was top this morning but been knocked off by road2ruin I think.

Yep, I think I’m 3 points clear with 1 to play tomorrow evening. I’ve got a few issues to sort and only 1 FT so I may have to take a small hit.

Did you put Wilson in before Burnley?!

I think Christmas and NYE could be a decent period and a lot of key players are away or injured, so rotation might not bite as much. The downside is almost all the sides will look very similar.

Can't decide whether to use the bench boost early in the second half or wait for the double game week later in the season!

Yep, Wilson came in that week which was a stroke of luck!

I think bench boost is a hard chip to use in the second half of the season. I used mine in GW1 when I could put together a side which I knew should have every single player taking part and it was a success. Looking at my team now my subs bench is pretty average as most of my money is in the starting 11 so my bench boost is likely to be later on in the season after I have played my wild card and been able to put some players in who are still turning out for their team.

Exactly what I did, seemed the most sensible time to use it. I think for the second ones I might try and time it so whenever I use wildcard, I'll plan to use bench boost the week after. Since you can't use them both on the same week I don't think.

Yeah it was a no brainer to use the first one then.

I will also most likely use the wildcard to pick nailed on starters before using the bench boost. Maybe even better if you can time it before a double game week too.

I've also left Igor Thiago as second sub because he hasn't scored in weeks - he has now of course. I am fuming at the moment. Part of me wants to wildcard everyone, part of me wants to delete my account altogether.

. I feel your pain.. I put Rice as 3rd sub and had already transferred out Bruno g and Thiago. What a nightmare. And of course Ekitike, who I had made several transfers to afford, don't even start.

Tonight's game got me 18 points for 3 clean sheets! 0-0 was the perfect result for me.

61 points, decent haul from my Arsenal defenders and Wilson in midfield has been great since I brought him in. Sticking with Thiago was also a good decision.

Saka is my issue, he's costly and for the money he's very much in danger of being replaced. He scored 11 points in week 16 but other than that it's been the odd assist here and there which isn't really enough given his price. I'll probably keep him for Forest and roll my transfer this week but he might be gone after.

Until the other week I had Rice, he was far most cost effective than Saka in my opinion. Got plenty of assists taking set pieces. Has scored the same goals and assists as Saka for 3 million less - and has the potential for defensive contributions. I'll be getting Rice back in for the next week I think. Probably in place of Foden who's done another disappearing act.
