Smith run out or not? Was watching in the bar with no volume on.. felt like throwing a glass at the TV when given not out.

Would have been a difference between lead or no lead ..

It took the Sky TV team 50 minutes to come to the conclusion that he was definitely out or not out.

I haven't seen it, out all day, but heard the discussion on the radio. No one was clear as to whether it was out or not. In that case the benefit of the doubt goes to the batsman. Even to an aussie batsman 😄

I think benefit of the doubt went with the batter…and with Jonny having clipped the stumps with his gloves dislodging the bails, it’s not 100% clear.

probably the right decision

Why has no one blamed the Indian 3rd umpire yet.. or dragged BCCI in yet. Would not like to be the umpire in the box at that time

My new approach is .. what would Ponting say? Punter is absolutely brilliant behind the mic

Poor that no-one has got a century here. Jonny being Jonny and seemingly incapable of staying focussed.

That being said - a handy cameo by Moeen and Chris here would be very nice!

Yikes...dodgy start.

I am ok with it, putting the run rate and time left over personal achievement

He came in on fire and then just dropped his energy and rate - don't understand that. Went all Australian on us.

Moeen's 29 deja vu to Lyon's injured contribution...

Speaking from personal experience, that only protects so much 😳.

I once went out to bat and face the final ball before tea, and realised I had forgotten to wear my box. No problem. Their spinner was on.

The ball caught me from below, and despite the total lack of pace when it connected with the two veg I went down as though I’d been shot, to howls of laughter from my so called mates.

The worst thing about the whole painful interlude was that I couldn’t eat a single mouthful of what was renowned as the best tea on our league circuit, such was the nausea I was feeling.

Oh, and our captain declared immediately after tea - so it was all for nothing.

Obviously disappointed by the Old Trafford result, and here’s hoping for a good result in the next 2 days, but I must say it’s been a cracking Ashes series.

Just seen Broad has announced his retirement after this test. Think he's still got plenty to offer but he owes us nowt.

That’s a huge surprise. If anyone was going to go I thought it would be Anderson.

Let’s hope Sky Sports snap him up. His initial forays into broadcasting have been mighty impressive.
