I haven't played for 25 years and I still fancy my chances against this attack. Poor.

Okay, I'm going to bite. I got home early, put sky on to watch the cricket. They've also followed the BBC and pulled in a token woman summariser. Now come on, every other summariser is an international player, an international at this level, most of them former England captains. They have credibility. Women's cricket is poor, weak village cricket at best and so pulling in a women's international player is no better than asking Dave from The Red Lion who bowls medium pace trundlers on a Saturday in the summer. Rubbish idea 😤

the politically correct one has progressed from T20 on the radio to now being on the TV test coverage. Adds absolutely zero of any insight, just waffles on, but ticks a lot of boxes sigh

No real shock though is it, WI won the T20 WC just over a year ago, how many of the team that played in the final are playing here? Yep, none of them, all playing hit and giggle in the CPL. I know they are different formats but 4 or 5 of them would be a massive improvement on this lot

Surely it's become like rugby and two different squads entirely for the test rugby and sevens. You don't see many making the transition. I think it's more to do with the West Indian board and the issues they've had in recent years that isn't bringing the quality of player through like it use to.

really?

Stokes, Root, Bairstow, Ali all integral to this test team and also the England T20 team. Formats are different but at the very top level the best players are the best players irrelevant of format unless a real specialist like Cook

What do you think would be the result if this WI test side played a test match against the WI T20 side?

I swear that if Pakistan had been fielding like the Windies today, there would be some people whispering about match fixing. I am unable to comprehend how bad they are for an international outfit. This is embarrassing.

Still looking for 3 batters with the first Ashes Test getting ever closer.

Nobody appears to want the job.

Quality batting overpowering average bowling. Not much from Root as a bowler today. Root should be commended for a very good declaration but agree that we have been less than average in the field today.

underbowled Ali, didnt switch him ends early enough, didnt try himself or Westley, over relied on Andersen and Broad and left them shot when the new ball came

sets up for a great decider at Lords now :)
