Good test match and fantastic chase. Good decision by Root to declare but the bowlers couldn't get it done. Onwards to the next, deciding match and hope we can make a concerted effort with bat and ball

Shai Hope was brilliant and possibly the coolest man in cricket. Could have been a different story if we hadn't dropped Brathwaite early, but fair play to West Indies, very good performance. We were dreadful but fair play to them, they put us away.

What a first day. Looked so good after bowling them out cheaply and then we really struggled under the lights and the Windies really made the ball sing. Not sure if they'll be too much play tomorrow so we'll need quick runs on Saturday and then a massive performance with the ball to force a result

a great innings, in trouble a little bit when he came in and built a nice partnership before cashing in on the inexperience of a couple of the Windies bowlers.

Thought the Windies had a decent chance to chase that score down until Gayle got ran out. Seemed a very poor effort on his behalf and it changed the game. Seemed to have no urgency to make his ground even as the throw came in. Great knock by Moeen Ali
