Yet another thread proving golfers really are a bunch of miserable gits :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Seems like the thing most of us like about Christmas is the time off!

I prefer working. If I had enforced leave the last time I'd want to be off is the time of year it's cold and the courses are closed

I'm working until Xmas day then I've got 2 days off and working 27th through until the 2nd

Much better

Appraisals. Why is turning up, completing my work to the best of my ability and then going home not enough? We have to set some imaginary targets for me to instantly forget until the next time we tick this box.

My sister asked what I wanted this year. I said a sleeve of avx balls. £15 but I said buy a box and then you can do a sleeve for bday and Xmas for 2 years

She then said if you buy me these ear rings (£10) as I had already got her something she would get me the box for Xmas

Excellent negotiations
so what is that one earing for this xmas and the other for next.

That's the trouble.

Appraisals done well are beneficial and motivating.

Appraisals done badly are truly awful and damaging.

When my manager comes out for a ride out with me he asks "any gossip, football and where I'm going for my holidays" He already knows I've not been sick or had any incidents. So no need to waste time with that.
At the end I feel benefitted and motivated 😁
