That’s what the fella at the tyre place said, I should have pumped it up without the sealant and see if it would have held. With hindsight that makes sense, I just thought the tyre was repairable. Lesson learned.

There are some sealants that can be repaired. Think it's water based ones can but the others can't

Ah it’s hard to know this stuff, the sealant gets such positive press. But it’s not so effective or successful.
Any side wall damage is game over.
If you want some peace of mind buy tyres with sealant in .. but they won’t protect side wall damage, and have the limited capability.
Run flats .. I am not so sure they offer massive benefits as once punctured they done. They cost more, weigh more and need to have a suspension tuned specifically for them ..

One year I was poorly and David has to put the (fake) tree away (I can't be fussed with anything but a tree). I got the box down the next year and wondered where the bag with the tinsel etc was. Got the tree out to find he'd left the decorations on, folded up with the tree branches. Ingenious.

Having not played since March .

I found my golf cap in a box in the car covered in mould spots. Must have put in there when it was wet.

As soon as I showed the empty bottle to the fella at the tyre place he told me straight away the only option was to replace the tyre. (Carlton at the cherry tree, been using them for years, very friendly honest guys.)
This is the stuff… https://www.glynhopkinpartsonline.c...I0vlzhuGCFMoy7fgfQ9KUrMLu_b4debgaAnHgEALw_wcB

I was going to use them the other day when I was out with the kids and drove over a bolt

Unfortunately got there and some idiot had parked a bus over the entrance and I couldn't get in

Luckily star tyres just down the road (same website style, wouldn't be surprised if it was same company) who I have used before wasn't blocked so I limped there and the guy fitted a new one in 20 mins

Correct.
It is the latex based ones which cause a tyre replacement.

If you have got a known make one such as Holts you can check with the manufacturer.

Did you tell him that or just think it?
