So i ordered a screw extractor drill bit. I need it for tomorrow, so did express delivery for today.,

Over lunch, i went over to the Ikea furniture to look at the nagging screws .... a bit of elbow grease, and all of them came off!!! Product already dispatched, so cant cancel either. They just had to wait there for me to spend the money :mad::mad::mad::mad:

If that was the case, they would still be standing at the crossing, waiting for it to turn to green. The irritation is that someone has pressed the button and then crossed before that has happened.

I still smile at my first time in Germany when I encountered this. No cars to be seen along a straight road, no one moved until the crossing went green. It all seemed very odd and I had a little chuckle to myself at how orderly everyone was.
Yet when drivers in Egypt do this we think it is mad.😉

However, as they do this when there is traffic around it is mad. I’m sure traffic lights are optional over there.

Why? Single use plastics are a big environmental problem. Getting rid of plastic cutlery is really not a big deal and surely worth it to stop creating lots of largely useless waste that will still exist in hundreds of years time.

Now if we were talking getting rid of plastic straws and replacing them with papers ones, whole new b 😄
The small cartons of orange drink I buy have had the straws replaced with paper ones. Halfway through drinking the juice they always collapse in the middle and nothing comes through them.

I'd argue theres more harmful enviromemtal issues going on than plastic KFS.
It may not be a big deal to you, it is a major irritation to me.
Why not make reusable plastic KFS?
I wonder if i carried my own KFS with me in my blazer pocket, the Met dibble would be sympathetic to my irritation should i be stopped and frisked?

I'm convinced there's a few new bogus/duplicate user ids on here today 😉😊
I think some people argue with their own duplicate IDs just to throw us off the scent and to amuse themselves when they can't get anyone to give them a good argument.

Just wait and see who responds to this post.

It might be me.

Hang on while I give myself 3 likes.

Why not make reusable plastic KFS?
Reusable KFS we already have, they are metal. Plastic is a cheap alternative but utterly disposable. They are not designed to be used repeatedly, if they were that strong they wouldn't be cheap. Equally, those supplying plastic versions don't want them back, don't want to clean and reuse them. Even if they took them back, they are unlikely to wash well, be hygienic.

In essence, if you want reusable you need metal. If you want single use, or similar, then it's wood or bamboo now.

Of course you can be irritated by it, that's the thread. I was just explaining why, imo, it's not bonkers though 🤷‍♀️

It was a figure of speech, it never needing explaining.
