“Most”? And the thinly veiled racism aimed at Turkish immigrants is disgusting.

It can’t be helped if the majority of a certain nationality are running these establishments. No one is saying all of the nationality are up to no good are they, just those running this type of business.
we have loads of barbers shops, with 1 nationality running the majority and a second nationality mainly the rest.
Its not racism, just a statement of fact and something the police are trying clamp down on, but very hard to.

In that case, leave it in the front garden, and tell them it’s there for you to collect before it’s taken by the dustmen.

Yodel just turned up out of the blue to collect the bed. Lucky for him I was in as nothing was arranged.
Brilliant, progress at last.

Nope.
The bed is in 2 boxes and the matress.
Yodel man was told only one box and can't take all 3...I've only got one label guv.
Yodel man leaves, bed stays.

Tried to drive out of the village today and gave up due to the extent of flooding.

Glad I did not try to do it early this morning as I might not have got back in again.

I'd much rather eat porridge without a dusting of sugar than without salt. Porridge without salt is like bread without salt - no bueno.
I make mine with cut oats and water though, none of these new fangled rolled oats and milk malarkey.
Though I do stir in a bit of cream to fatten me up.

No milk in my porridge either.
Water and a knob of butter. That's the porridge.
Once its done, put whatever you like on it or in it.
But oats in boiled milk, or diluted boiled milk, that is not porridge, it is some kind of baby food.

For us as kids it was the cream off the top of the milk - with a little single cream added if needed. And it was salt in my porridge.

This Random Irritation is on behalf of the girl I briefly spoke to yesterday.

I asked if there was a KFC nearby, not knowing she was part of a silent protest on battery chicken farming . Not surprised she gave me that look!

Like all the nail bars are run by the Chinese.

Not racism at all…but thank you for reminding us that some lack the maturity to discuss any real issues on these boards.

You may have to wait a while as I have decided not to spend any more time and effort to correct their mistake. The bed will be put in the workshop out of the way and if Argos want it back, they can come and get it.
