How would you rather blob an easy par 4???????

By blasting it OOB off the tee or by hitting the green in regulation and then 4 putting?????
I can do both, but I know which one gives me more satisfaction.

Sometimes the easy ones turn out to be the hardest!!
Lost count of how many times I've blobbed the SI 18 hole and walked off the SI 1 with a flukey par.

My preferred method is the duffed/thinned wedge combination putting me into the long grass behind the green; then on in 4 and 2 putts.:smirk:

Mine was on the 3rd on the Dukes the day after the Travis Perkins - hit a great shot but went above the pin - just tapped the next putt and it flew all the way down to the button then took three to get back up

He did that on the 5th at Gainsborough. Rifled a lovely 3 wood to get home in two, and proceeded to 5 jerk it....

My blob of choice is the one where you find the middle of the fairway off the tee, leaving a short iron or wedge to the green, which you then proceed to shank OOB. Finding the green for 4 you then miss the putt and walk off wondering how.........

Beautiful drive, leaving a simple 100 yard PW, Thin the hell out of it and stick it in the bushes behind, Drop for 3, clunk the chip for 4, chip on for 5 followed by a 2 putt for a 7

Seems to be my 'favourite' on a couple of Par 5s - after great (for me) tee and 2nd shots!

I'm pretty versatile about how I blob Par 4s!

Of your options the drive OOB ... BUT

Drive 10 yards thru the green , walk up all happy out , (1)

duff the chip , not so happy (2)

blade the chip thru the green ..even less not so happy (3)

Chip back to 2/3 inches , head shakingly frustrated so il tap it in with the wedge to save time (4)

Knock it bast the edge .. ironic laughter (5)

Knocked it in .. all cheer (6)

Walk to next tee calling myself infraction names in my head

Drove our 4th and just dropped into a greenside bunker. Was still only about 15 feet from the hole but proceeded to thin bunker shot over green into cabbage. Dropped in bunker and failed to get out with next shot (4th) leaving me needing to hole the next bunker shot for a point.......blob. All very satisfying ...hero to zero in about 30 seconds lol.

I four putted from 15feet at hillside. Using the back of an oddly shaped mallet putter was a bad idea. lost the hole in our match after having a little birdie look.
