I do. I have Adidas and Underarmor joggers which are warm and slightly water resistant for winter that I wear playing golf in the winter.
To be fair a lot of the old school waterproof golf trousers look very similar to some dark joggers I've had in the past, you'd be hard pushed to really notice the difference.

Shirt in or out of joggers? What is really weird is that anyone would even spend the time comtemplating whether someone else's shirt/jogger combination was correct thinking about what anyone else wears when playing golf or anywhere else.

Fixed that for you!

I have been tempted in the depths of winter to just wear my normal black joggers to the course and see if anyone notices

I have and do - nobody cared, I doubt they even noticed! They are quite thick and just a plain black with tapered but not elasticated bottoms though so pretty understated.

I can't be bothered to read 7 pages of this to see if someone else has made this observation already, so it it's a repeat, then apologies (although it's hardly like every post on this thread is unique from the few I have read!!!).
I will happily tuck my shirt in, wear long or short socks with shorts, or confirm with any other rule a club wish to have if it's a course I really want to play.
If it's not a course I really want to play, then I probably won't play there.
What I will never do is complain about someone else's rules because they don't fit my narrative. I have the choice to abide by their dress code or not. That's not unfair, that's just life.
And if you want to wear golf joggers, crack on. Just don't tell those of us who think they're truly awful that we're wrong, please.
Right, close this thread now and let's all just stop trying to win a circular argument. 🤣

100% with you on the untucked shirts.
I mostly couldn't care less what anybody else chooses to wear in any situation. Golf joggers though. I'm not sure that the fake "just out of prison" chic and golf fashion should ever be allowed to mix.

On the other hand I do find it bizarre that golf can claim its a sport yet somebody, somewhere decided that "business casual" is the optimum attire for such an activity.

Brainwashed? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤡
It is a form of brainwashing, by hundreds of years of "traditions" and "standards". If you had your memory wiped and walked into a clubhouse and saw someone wearing a hat, do you think you would be upset? Of course not, you'd have absolutely no reason to be. Same with someone's shirt being untucked, it doesn't look any better or worse than tucking it in, it's just the wearer's choice. People are only upset by it because they've been told to be by their elders.

Yep. Glad to play a course where nobody cares. Summer's coming and I'll be back to playing golf in athletic shorts, t-shirt and sandals. 🤘🤘🤘

It’s not even hundreds of years of traditions. It’s a few decades tops.

It’s been said before. All of these so called traditionalists will be out with their baseball caps, wearing clothing made from modern fabrics (and looking like a sweet wrapper from a Willy Wonka movie). They will be using gps devices and playing with clubs made from space age materials. You know, all the traditional golf stuff 😂

What amazes me about this whole thread is why so many people happily defend dress code rules on account of it being the choice of the club to enforce them and the choice of the player to play there or not.
Yet so many of the same people happily bemoan the cost of green fees at often the same courses.
Surely the same counter argument applies

No, the issue is what you perceive looks "scruffy" because of how you've been brainwashed. And also how the nuances of someone else's attire should be completely irrelevant to your life.

Even the smartest of acceptable golf clothing can be worn in a scruffy manor, there lies the problem.
