After discussions on another thread about how expensive golf was, I was interested to know how much annual membership was (ignoring Joining Fees)

My County, Lincolnshire, seems pretty cheap when I've seen fees elsewhere in the UK. Most of the top end courses, in the North at least, would be anything from £800 to just creeping over £1,000 I think. All except Woodhall Spa, 36 holes and home to England Golf, which is just over £1,600 I believe.

For clarity. I am talking full adult membership, for simplicity. If the club runs a scheme, like a green fee membership (Annual fee, plus green fees every round), estimate what you think you pay, or at least a "average" member would pay. And, you can put the price for the upcoming year, if you know the price is about to rise.

Also, the survey needs to factor in what type of membership we are talking - 5 or 7 day, junior, young adult (or whatever categories they have), senior, long term member discount, what other perks are included (range balls, etc). Too variable to get anything meaningful imo

Golf in Worcester is not expensive

My Club:
Under 30's is £35 a month or £395
Full Adults - £54 a month or £620

Most expensive club in the city itself is:
Full Adult - £1208
Under 35's - £906
Under 25's - £604

Both clubs I’m a member at fall into the 750 - 1000 range.
Edinburgh prices for you

Surrey golfer here. I am on intermediate membership at £800 for the upcoming year. Full membership is £1300. However we are a pay and play as well as membership.

Subs at ours due now, voted through at the AGM last week, a nine hole course in East Lancashire full playing membership is £599.

not a member as of yet, but the 5 nearest courses to me

David Lloyd Hampton - (free with the gym, plus £70pa to play comps and keep a handicap, gym is £140pcm) otherwise £799 which is by far the cheapest
Fulwell - £2040
Royal Mid Surrey - £2,400
Sunbury - £1,300
Wyke Green - £1,800

I think full membership was around 1500. Our renewal date is not until end of April, so not sure the new price yet, but I'm sure it will be over 1500 so have voted in that bracket.

I'm in the 30-39 category (for a couple more years) so ours is a little bit less, I suspect it will be approaching 1400 this time though.

£1000, 45 holes, driving range, 3 hole short game area, clubhouse is the most unimpressive building in the history of golf - but we’ll let them off :-)

The youths membership is free until he’s 18.

Which course is that? I’m at Kidderminster, twice the price!

Last renewal (to 31st March 2023) we were £1800 (inc £20 Surrey and England fees); Just 5% increase for next renewal would have us about £1900, 10% would be about £2000. Our membership will be consistent with similar traditional members clubs around us in the Surrey/Hants/Berks Borders areas.

I'm not a full member of my club, as I don't play weekends, but I am aware of the full rate for when I want to go up to 7 days

£125 a month so £1500 a year

This does include full access to the gym and classes

Also includes access to the par 3 course by the driving range

Seems pricey but the area I'm in its not bad, we are on the border of London

£1100 for full adult membership. Includes 15% bar discount and reduced rates on the range (Top Tracer). There was no joining fee when I joined 2 1/2 years ago but it is now £250 (this includes £50 on your bar card and 2 free guest passes)
