We have a great bunch who play regularly on Saturday mornings, always the same format on none comp weekends. Fiver in, pound on the front 6, pound on the middle, pound on the back, with two pounds for the overall. Means you always have a pot to shoot for, even if you start poorly.
Last Saturday we had 12 of us start out, so £60 in the pot. When the rain came, 8 people abandoned, leaving the front fourball out there who finished, went back to clubhouse and ante'd up. Of those who abandoned, attitudes have ranged from "saved myself a fiver there" to "who do I owe my money to?"
What would you do?
