True, nothing suggests the other teams will improve that much imo.
I thought Man Utd maybe could have, but not ideal starting with a couple of big injuries.
Chelsea were starting to look decent at the back end of the season, but now got a new manager.
Liverpool weren’t good enough last seasons & not signed anyone as far as I know.
I definitely hope Man Utd improve, without doubt.

But, it is a big step from improving from 8th to challenging.

The injuries not ideal. But, should still be in a much much better position compared to last year, if we only start the season with 2 or 3 bigger players out. Fingers crossed by me anyway.

There is no way Man Utd will be within 20 points of the Champions.

New signings aren't good enough, team isn't good enough and the manager isn't good enough. Could see them sneaking Top Four due to Liverpool's new manager, Chelsea looking a total mess and Spurs not really doing anything. Villa will find it tough this season too.

Finally officially announced

Summerville joins from Leeds

That's the left wing sorted

Niclas Füllkrug is having a medical ATM to become our main striker (Duran from villa still not ruled out)https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/crglg4xj499o

Awb from man united in advanced talks https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cydvz44d220o

World cup winner Guido Rodríguez bring lined up on a freebie to help out in midfield

For me that's just one CB short of a perfect window

Sure we signed killman for 40 million but if we could get someone next to him it would be perfect

We look set to line up in 2 weeks as

------------areola

Awb aguard killman Emerson

---------paquata Rodríguez

Bowen ------kudus ------summerville

-----------------Füllkrug

That's some starting 11 with a bench of

Dinos
Alvarez
Zouma
JWP
Coufal
Fabianski
Soucek
Cresswell
Antonio

Put you down for 14th then :ROFLMAO:

Not a great set up with inverted wingers and a Weghorst like striker. Terrible striker for the rest of the side which looks very good.

Id rather Duran but there is a chance of both

He will be fine, good goal scorer and with kudos and Bowen bursting forward goals will be a plenty

I think you definitely need someone next to Kilman, whenever we played a back 4 he struggled.

Been a decent pre season tour in the US

Lot of good performances and clearly a different way of playing that seems to suit some , Mo and Elliot have been excellent and creating a nice little understanding

Been an awful pre-season.
Plenty of poor results, several injuries and still the same old players.
Excellent.

Man City at the weekend, what could possibly go wrong?

Not unduly concerned by the results. The injuries are a big issue, as is the fact that the hoped for exodus of players doesn’t seem to be happening.

I still think there will be some more new faces, but there need to be some outgoings for that to happen.

To be honest, I do not read into the community shield a great deal. The performance is more important than the result.

Füllkrug has signed. Cracking bit of business

One of the in the knows has Rodriguez as paperwork signed so he will come tomorrow by looks

Another in the know suggests still pushing for Duran from villa

Need a CB and a right back and that's a cracking window

Just saw Cole Palmer is on £75,000 a week, until 2030.

Sure it is a decent amount compared to me. But, given it is significantly less than many of the other Chelsea players (some over £300,000), I hope he negotiated some decent bonuses into his contract

City just agreed almost £82 million for Alvarez from Atletico. I know he is a decent player, but surely that is a huge amount, and an offer City could never refuse?

Ageing targetman who did alright in the Bundesliga comes over to the Prem - yeah that always works doesn't it? I think you might have the next Weghorst on your hands there.

He will do well for J-Lo im sure. however its about options really. Bowen is able to play up top and now this fulkrug guy.. with kudus summervile paquata bowen all as options behind and the young guy we brought in forget his name just more options rather than just here is antonio ..

if he gets 10 goals ill be happy

still rumors of duran signing from villa , if he arrives additional that will be some front line
