At least Warner and smith didn’t score many!

It's pretty perfect right now. Don't mind the batsmen that are in (for Aussies that is!) and loving the biased commentary "Australia only doing so well due to the toss/conditions" oh and the announcer doing his utmost between overs to get the silent crowd involved. Just makes me happier and more at ease with wanting Australia to win at anything!

I really don't like cheering for Australia but am definitely in the anyone but India camp!

I can’t put my finger on my dislike of India. A lot of it has to be down to Virat Kohli. I simply cannot stand the man. There have been a number of times during this WC, when he has been closing in on centuries, when I have got more than a passing impression that he was playing not for his country, but for himself. I’ve always felt like that to an extent, but this WC has really reinforced it.

But I have also been extremely disappointed with how such a supposedly cricket crazy nation has been so apathetic regarding games which have not involved the hosts. Maybe India isn’t so cricket mad after all - maybe they can’t see beyond their own team, and that has made this tournament a difficult watch at times. I do wonder what the turnout would have been today had the hosts not been involved.

So I join you in being quite happy to see India being soundly beaten if, as seems almost certain, that is the outcome. But oh, how I wish it had been at the hands of anyone other than Australia. David Warner is perhaps the most objectionable man ever to represent his country at international sport (ask many Australians - they agree), and the thought of him, and Steve Smith, getting their hands on that trophy really depresses me beyond words.

I agree 100%. Even today I felt Kohli was batting for himself rather than the team/team position. He needed to take it on more than he did but would rather stay in and hope for a century.

Plus the conditions having such an effect is crazy and India have been able to take advantage of that - especially the semi final venue. Funny they'll pay the ultimate price in the final.

Once the winning run is hit I'm turning over sharpish!!

I get why footy fans might leave when as the home team they are being spanked but this is a final, the the Indians are just leaving in droves.
I get the feeling they thought it was a done deal, but so glad they were the ones who got spanked.
For once I say, Well done Australia.

India and their pitch manipulations got exactly what they deserved, nothing. Pathetic attendance from the worlds most mad cricket fans if anyone but India were playing. Really did nothing for world cricket and pleased to see them lose.

Not letting any Pakistan fans into their games was definitely not good and didn't reflect well.

Some strange rules in cricket. Umpire’s call when it should be out.
Not sure about the particular incident but umpires call allows for a margin of error in the tech. When the tech shows an incredibly close call, flicking a bail for example rather than whacking it, they stay with the umpires original decision. The tech is good, it isn't perfect as it is assuming what is going to happen. It doesn't actually know as fact.

I like that aspect and players have faith in the umpires. Their success percentage is phenomenal, no one who stands at this level is even average.

To me ,it’s not his batting that makes me not like him, it’s his over the top reactions when someone is out, especially when he is not involved. When one of the Aussies was out today, he immediately runs right across the pitch into the face of the batsman and goes off on his own mini lap of hon before congratulating the bowler.

I missed the final, deliberately. ;). Just didn't interest me after "six months" of group games then a wham-bam knock out "phase". I don't like India nor Australia, thus went to clean my Mum's carpets.
