I have no time at all for ohuruogu. When she missed those drug tests, stupidity, or cheating? Or both. Under my rules, she'd be on her bike.

Ah, may be the wrong analogy, given what Armstrong has done to cycling.

She has been cleared and tested multiple times now and been given the all clear every single time.

Not at all, I'll continue to tell you that it's a Mickey Moose award.Even the title of it is just plain wrong.....Personality??

Now,over the years that has been a total joke.

You have told us it's Mickey Mouse - no need to tell us again

I'm not too bothered about the title - we all know it's not exact to the word

It's a public vote and most times the most deserving person gets it.

Which country is that because it's not Englands Sports Personality of the Year it covers the whole of GB

So not open to those from Northern Ireland then?

Why are you so miserable and negative? Oh, and repetitive too!

Slime.

No Phil 'The Power' Taylor then!

Sorry yes GB and NI

Stioll find it enjoyable - and the fact that it is called 'Sports Personaility of the Year is historical as the original title was already nabbed - or that's as I understand it. Never really was to do with an individuals personality as a characteristic more a personality as a noun alternative to person.

Anyway - Andy Murray shoe-in and would be regardless of how strong this year's candidates might have been. Ben Ainslie gets a lifetime achievement award for services to sailing (like caulking?). I think his part in the Americas Cup is somewhat over-stated.

In reality, it is sports review of the year. With a few pots handed out, no idea why.

To recognise who the public think has been the best Sportsman throughout the year

As with every single other sports giving out a Player of the Year.

Murray will win

Personally, I think it is disgusting that Phil Taylor has never won it. In history, no individual has ever dominated a sport like he has. Lovely bloke aswel!

Be disgusted with the public - they are the ones that decide the winner

Possibly they are now but that has not always been the case and that is a fact. I know this from the horses mouth. If the public votes were used to select the winner, a couple of sport anglers would have won in the past. They didn't and it was fixed. Absolute FACT. 100% true.

PM me if you want to know who told me this.

In the past it wasn't always a public phone vote and I have no doubt that it wasn't always above board but I can't remember many times when someone shouldn't have won it - only Giggs and Phillips.

I'm glad that Taylor hasn't ever won - Darts appears to be an excuse to just get smashed whilst two people play a pub game
