I have a pair of Ecco spikeles, very comfy and easy to drive in if you wish to. I don't wear them in winter but some of my pp's wear spikeless thro the winter.

I also had worries about wearing them down.....wear them out and that's it. However mine have seen about 2 1/2 years of use all year round and the wear is very minimal. They have easily outlasted the 2 pairs of FJ Contours I had which each only lasted 16 months before they leaked like a colander, and the uppers started to come away from the sole.

I like the grip design on the gripmore but can't get Adidas wide enough for me,

I've got wide feet and the Gripmores fit me fine. As usual with Adidas had to go up half a size. I think that I've seen some reviews describing them as too wide, so they are wider than most Adidas styles. Would be worth trying a pair on.

When I first got them they did feel a bit narrow, but gave them a go and so glad I did.

I have both spiked and spikeless (both Ecco). Prefer the spikeless most of the time. Plenty of grip in most conditions except when it is raining hard. No problem at all in light rain or dry. My spikeless are lighter and more comfortable than the spiked shoe and of course don't need to change them for the 19th hole or driving home!

I'm the same.
Find them wider than normal adidas fit

Normally 8 wide in adidas shoes
Got gripmore in size 8.5 , std width , perfect
Very roomy actually , so the wide fit must be very wide.

Btw
They're so comfy too , highly recommend

Fantastic service from Online Golf. Ordered Thursday evening and just been delivered.

Gripmore are so comfy, snug fit but just right. Feel like a quality shoe.

Another vote for Ecco..

I've got a number of pairs and all are like wearing slippers! They are not the most astheitcally pleasing, and I've had a few comments from playing partners in the past. But in terms of comfort nothing has come close to Ecco.
