Now the rain has (temporarily) stopped and the course is no longer doing it’s best impression of the Somme, I have finally worn the G/Fore spike less shoes I bought in the NY sales.
First impressions are good with the shoes being comfortable with no breaking in required. After asking about fit on the forum, someone mentioned they are more like adidas which I find slightly narrow so I went for a 10.5 (usually 10 in UA and FJ golf shoes). This proved to be a good move as the fit is great. The insoles are covered in nobbles to ‘massage’ your foot - this took a bit of getting used to on the soles of my feet but was forgotten by the time I reached the first tee after a warm up on the putting green. The dual BOA style fastenings meant a good firm fit could be attained.
All in all a great shoe, especially as they were reduced from £200 to £100
